Job summary

Vector Recruitment Solutions are recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers on behalf of a leading infrastructure contractor operating near Sleaford, Lincolnshire. This role combines driving with drainage maintenance across the highways network as part of a two‑person crew using specialist vehicles and equipment.

You will work day or night shifts (50 hours per week), with a view to permanent employment after a temporary period, and receive full training and support to develop specialist drainage skills.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Hands-on approach and willingness to assist with drainage operations.
• Reliable team player with commitment to health and safety.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn specialist equipment and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate specialist HGV Class 2 vehicles, including 18-tonne Vacuum Tankers and Combination Units.
• Work alongside a drainage operative as part of a two-person crew.
• Assist with the clearance, cleaning and maintenance of highway drainage systems.
• Support the safe operation of specialist drainage equipment.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

HGV Class 2 Driver - Drainage Vehicle

Location: Sleaford, Lincolnshire

Salary (days) : £15.81 - £17.80 per hour (PAYE, inclusive of holiday pay)

Salary (nights) : £19.80 - £22.25 per hour (PAYE, inclusive of holiday pay)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6am - 4pm or 4pm - 2am (50 hours per week)

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
