We are looking for a HGV Driver, reporting to the facility at Stanlow Oil Refinery. You will deliver gas cylinders to customers on and off-site efficiently, adhering to all safety, quality, and service standards and procedures.

You will be an integral member of a small team of 2 drivers, ensuring our customers’ needs are met. Responsibilities include managing customer orders and inquiries, so a passion for delivering excellent customer service is essential. The role involves operating a large goods vehicle (LGV Rigid Vehicle) and a forklift to deliver and sort cylinders.

Success in this position depends on strong interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, operational and technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and the ability to work effectively within a small team.

Your working hours will be Monday to Friday, from 07:30 to 15:30, with flexibility required based on customer demands (37.5 hours per week).

Responsibilities

1. Ensure compliance with company and legislative safety standards at all times on site.
2. Pick, sort, and load cylinders for customer deliveries.
3. Operate a rigid LGV to deliver cylinders to customers.
4. Operate a forklift for loading vehicles.
5. Manage the maintenance and operation of the delivery vehicle in line with O licence requirements.
6. Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
7. Handle customer inquiries and follow up, providing leads to the commercial team.
