Job summary

DPD UK is seeking a reliable HGV Driver to join our Carlisle team, operating a modern fleet and supporting nationwide collections and deliveries. You’ll work Sundays to Thursdays with a 18:00–21:00 start window, and benefit from a comprehensive perks package and career growth opportunities.

You’ll perform trailer swaps, live loading/unloading, and stay compliant with GPS and tachograph controls while delivering excellent service across UK sites and customers.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (Category CE) Licence, CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• At least 6 months experience handling Class 1 vehicles.
• Excellent geographical knowledge of UK roads and a safety-first mindset.
• Resourceful problem-solver who can work under pressure and hit deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries focusing on HGV-friendly locations.
• Manage trailer swaps and live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Use GPS and digital tachographs to manage your route and remain compliant.
• Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers across the country.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving in all conditions.
