Job summary

Xylem is seeking a skilled HGV Driver (HIAB) to join our Grantham depot. You will safely operate Class 2 vehicles, perform deliveries and collections of pumping equipment across customer sites, and use HIAB/crane equipment to load and unload goods.

You will also conduct vehicle checks and support logistics as needed. The ideal candidate holds a full UK HGV Class 2 licence and a HIAB certification, with proven experience in plant hire, utilities, or construction.

Qualifications

• Full UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid HIAB licence/certification with experience preferred.
• Proven experience in similar roles within plant hire, utilities, or construction.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 2 HGV vehicles safely and professionally.
• Deliveries and collections of pumping equipment across customer sites.
• Use HIAB/crane to load and unload goods safely.
• Perform vehicle checks, routine maintenance, and documentation.
• Support depot team with logistics and stock movement as needed.
• Represent Xylem to customers with a positive, professional attitude.

We’re seeking a skilled and safety-conscious HGV Driver with a valid HIAB licence to join our operations team based in Grantham. This is a vital role supporting our transport and logistics needs across the region, ensuring timely delivery and collection of essential equipment and materials.

What you’ll be doing:

• Operating Xylem vehicles (Class 2 HGV) in a safe and professional manner
• Carrying out deliveries and collections of pumping equipment and related machinery across customer sites
• Using HIAB/crane equipment to safely load and unload goods
• Ensuring vehicle checks, maintenance, and documentation are completed to required standards
• Supporting the depot team with logistics and stock movement when required
• Representing Xylem to our customers with a positive and professional attitude

What we’re looking for:

• Full UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence
• Valid HIAB licence/certification (preferably with experience)
• Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within plant hire, utilities, or construction sectors
• Good knowledge of load securing, manual handling, and road safety regulations
• A flexible and reliable team player with a strong work ethic and customer focus
