Job summary

Staffline is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers to work in Rugby. With the latest vehicles on the market, this gives you the best HGV experience and a top-range vehicle to work with! 4 and 5 day shift patterns on days, nights and tramping available.

Rates of pay range from £14.50 to £20.70 per hour, with 24/7 on-site support and opportunities for career progression. Staffline guarantees year-round work with no cancellations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR convictions.
• Valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, DCPC & Tacho cards.
• Ability to work to DRIVER hours and WTD legislation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Maintain delivery records and logbooks per policy and law.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE and health and safety regulations.

Rates of pay:

• Weekday £15.15 per hour
• Weeknight £16.35 per hour
• Saturday and Sunday day £18.15 per hour
• Saturday and Sunday night £18.65 per hour
• Bank holidays £18.96 per hour
• Night out allowance - for trampers £25.00 per night out

Your Time at Work

• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Following all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will have excellent communication skills and be able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.

Applicants will comply with on-site health and safety requirements. You will understand and be able to comply with the driver's hours and WTD legislation

You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, DCPC & Tacho cards and have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience with no more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions.
