Keyline Civils Specialist is seeking an HGV Class 2 driver for the Widnes branch. The role features sociable Monday–Friday hours (6.30am–4pm), with no overnights or weekends. You will move civils materials to customers, load with HIAB if needed, and perform vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance.

Training to obtain HIAB is funded by the company. You will need a Category C licence and an up-to-date CPC, plus recent HGV driving experience.

Qualifications

• Category C Class 2 driving licence is required.
• CPC (DQC Card) must be up to date.
• Recent HGV driving experience is preferred.
• HIAB training can be funded if needed.

Responsabilités

• Move stock such as civils, heavy building materials and drainage to customers, safely and professionally.
• Load HIAB-equipped vehicles and complete training if not yet licensed.
• Perform vehicle checks before driving and ensure loads are secure and legal.
• Handle local multi‑drop deliveries with regular returns to the branch to reload.
• Assist with loading/unloading and keep vehicles clean and tidy.
• Uphold safety standards at all times.

What will you be doing?

You’ll be moving stock like civils, heavy building materials, and drainage solutions from our branches to customers, all while keeping it safe and professional. You’ll load up your vehicle with a HIAB (lorry-mounted crane)—don’t have the licence yet? No problem! We’ll fully fund your training to get you up to speed. You’ll make sure your vehicle’s loaded right, safe, and legal, plus do vehicle checks before hitting the road. Expect plenty of local multi-drop deliveries, with regular returns to the branch to reload. You’ll also pitch in with loading, unloading, and keeping your vehicle clean and tidy. Above all, safety comes first, and you’ll make sure our standards never slip.

Who you are

• You’ve got a Category C Class 2 driving licence
• Your CPC (DQC Card) is up to date
• You’ve got recent HGV driving experience (if you've worked with a lorry loader/crane, even better, but not a deal-breaker)
• You’re comfortable chatting with customers and building solid relationships
• You take safety seriously and always work in a professional and safe way
• You’re passionate about delivering for customers
