Job summary

Genuit Group, including Polypipe Civils and Green Urbanisation, is seeking a Class 2 Driver to safely operate the vehicle, deliver goods to clients and maintain accurate delivery records. The role requires strict adherence to road safety regulations and excellent customer service.

You will conduct daily vehicle checks, secure loads legally, and work with warehouse and planning teams to keep operations running smoothly. Overtime and night-out commitments may be required to meet schedule demands.

Qualifications

• UK Driving Licence Category C is required.
• In‑date UK Driver Qualification Card (DQC) is essential.
• Strong navigation ability and knowledge of UK road networks.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in safely and legally securing loads.
• Willingness to night out as required.
• Willingness to work overtime and occasional Saturday mornings.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 vehicle safely, following all traffic laws and company procedures.
• Deliver goods and materials to scheduled locations, ensuring timely and accurate service.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks, reporting defects promptly.
• Experience in securely strapping loads in a safe and legal manner.
• Provide professional customer service and resolve delivery‑related queries.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, hours‑of‑service rules and company H&S policies.
• Collaborate with warehouse, logistics and planning teams to support efficient operations.
• Follow company Health, Safety & Environment procedures and driver handbook requirements.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in daily work tasks and processes.
