Job summary

Travis Perkins is seeking a Class 2 HGV driver in Mansfield for a fixed-term 6-month contract. You will deliver building materials to local customers, load with HIAB, and complete around 14 drops a day with no evenings or overnights.

The role offers sociable hours Monday to Friday 7.30am–5pm and every other Saturday 8am–12pm, with a competitive salary and a potential bonus of up to £2,700 per year. HIAB training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 2 driving license and up-to-date CPC records.
• HIAB training available or funded by employer.
• Customer-focused with safety-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials from the branch to local customers.
• Load and secure HIAB, ensuring legal and safe loading.
• Complete approximately 14 drops per day and return to branch for reloads.

What will you be doing?

You’ll be delivering building materials from our branch to local customers, making sure everything’s safe and sound. You’ll load up your vehicle with the HIAB, double-check it’s all properly packed and legal, and then hit the road. As our face on the road, you’ll keep it professional while making around 14 drops a day, then head back to the branch to reload when needed.

Who you are

• Requirements: You’ll need a Class 2 driving license, up-to-date CPC records, and have held a Category B license for 12+ months.
• HIAB experience: Don’t have HIAB experience? No problem! We’ll fund your HIAB training.
• Customer-focused: You’ll be confident building and developing relationships with customers.
• Safety-focused: You’ll prioritize safety in every aspect of your work, completing tasks in a professional manner.
