Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals Limited in Bristol is seeking a talented HGV Driver to ensure timely collections and deliveries to customer sites while consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

You will operate commercial vehicles, perform safety checks, load/unload cargo, visit customer locations and communicate with internal and external customers, while complying with legal and company safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Cat C licence held and valid
• CPC certified
• Tachograph card
• Experience driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle
• Proactive safety attitude
• Polite and professional when visiting customer sites
• Good local geography knowledge a plus
• Ability to use IT systems where required
• FORS knowledge desirable

Responsibilities

• Operating commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods
• Ensuring vehicle is safe and roadworthy before journeys, as well as loading/unloading and securing loads
• Visiting customer locations and communicating with internal and external customers
• Ensuring compliance with legal and company safety requirements and working time directives

What will you be doing?

• Operating commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all time

What are we looking for?

• Minimum of driving license category C - with no more than 6 points
• CPC Certified
• Tachograph card
• Experience driving a HGV Class 2 vehicle
• Proactive approach to safety of company vehicles and other drivers
• A polite manner at all times when visiting customer premises
• Good geographical knowledge and Industry experience (desirable)
• Ability to use IT systems (desirable)
• FORS compliant (desirable)
