Job summary

Driver Hire is seeking 5 Class 1 HGV drivers for immediate start in the Preston area. You must hold a C+E licence, a current CPC Card, a Digital Tachograph Card, and have fewer than 9 points on your licence. Daily vehicle checks and tachograph compliance are required to succeed in this role.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, with weekend enhancements and weekly pay. The role offers subsidised CPC training and a strong focus on vehicle care and reliability.

Qualifications

• C+E driving Licence is required.
• Current CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Licence with fewer than 9 points.

Responsibilities

• Daily walk round and vehicle checks. Report existing damage and defects.
• Correct use of Tachograph and drivers hours.

HGV Driver Class 1 – Full time
£17.00 to £22.00 per hour Days

We are looking for 5 Class 1 HGV drivers to start asap for our clients based in Preston area

As a Class 1 HGV Driver you must have:

• C+E driving Licence
• Current CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Less than 9 points on your licence
• Be keen to look after your vehicle and be reliable and punctual

HGV Class 1 Driver responsibilities include:

• Daily walk round and Vehicle checks. Reporting existing damage and defects.
• Correct use of Tachograph and drivers hours

The successful HGV Drivers can expect:

• Monday–Friday: £17.00 PAYE Per Hour (HP advanced.)
• Weekend enhancements if you are available.
• Weekly Pay, paid on time every time.
• Subsidised ongoing CPC training.

We have found other driving, logistics and warehouse professionals to be successful such as
Class 1 or Class 2 or 7.5 Ton or Heavy Goods Driver and other commercial driving professions.

These positions are commutable from Blackpool, Fleetwood, Garstang, Southport, Chorley, Leyland, Bamber Bridge and other areas nearby.
