Job summary

Northumbrian Water is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Tanker Driver based at Tees Dock Road, Middlesbrough. The role focuses on transporting sludge products across the North East to treatment facilities and supporting wastewater operations.

Applicants must hold a full HGV Class 1 licence, CPC, a digital tachograph card, and have at least 12 months of Class 1 experience. The position is a fixed-term contract (minimum 5 months) with day and night shifts and up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently
• Ensure compliance with Driver Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive and O-Licence requirements
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and defect reporting per DVSA standards
• Maintain a clean, safe and compliant vehicle at all times
• Safely load/unload tanker equipment per Northumbrian Water Health & Safety procedures
• Promote and support the 'Everyone Home Safe Everyday' culture
• Drive in a fuel-efficient and environmentally responsible manner
• Deliver excellent service whilst representing Northumbrian Water professionally

Salary: £16.88 per hour

The Role

As an HGV C+E Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for transporting sludge products from Northumbrian Water's sewage treatment works across the North East to treatment facilities.
