Job summary

Greggs is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver to deliver to distribution sites across the UK in multi‑temperature loads. You will drive refrigerated vehicles and use telematics and cameras to ensure safety and efficiency.

You will receive full training and CPC/tachograph support, with shifts including nights, weekends and bank holidays. Competitive pay and employee benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Category C+E/Class 1 licence with at least 1 year experience (max 6 penalty points).
• Up-to-date Driver CPC card and training is required.
• Excellent knowledge of Drivers' hours regulations is essential.
• Able to meet shift availability requirements and work across nights/weekends/bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide bulk deliveries and collections to and from our UK network of sites in multi-temperature loads.
• Drive modern refrigerated HGVs with telematics and vehicle cameras.
• Support fleet safety and compliance through training and regulatory adherence.

About the role

Join us as an HGV Class 1 Driver and you will be the face of Greggs on the road, making sure that our tasty products are delivered to our supply sites and distribution centres, where we make and pack the nation's much loved Greggs products.

Day-to-day, you'll provide bulk deliveries and collections to and from our network of sites throughout the UK in multi-temperature loads. You'll be driving one of our modern fleet of refrigerated HGVs, fitted with the latest technology and safety features, such as telematics and vehicle cameras.

Greggs is industry leading when it comes to our fleet, technologies, and training our Drivers. We place the highest of importance on ensuring our Drivers and fleet are safe and compliant. We'll provide you with the best training, including annual CPC, Tachograph, DVWC, Slow Manoeuvre and The Highway Code.

Greggs will also pay for the ongoing costs of your Driver CPC, medicals and Tachograph card renewals.

About you

Ideally, you'll have worked as a HGV Class 1 Driver within the food industry. You'll also need:

• To have held a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Category C+E/Class 1 driving license for at least 1 year (with a maximum 6 penalty points)
• An up-to-date Driver CPC card and training
• Excellent knowledge of Drivers' hours regulations
• To meet the shift availability requirements for this vacancy

Experience of making bulk deliveries would also be beneficial but isn't essential.
