Role Overview

Our South Lakes team in Kendal is looking for a dedicated HGV Driver. You must live within a 30-minute drive of LA9 7DU.

Responsibilities include:

• Driving various vehicles requiring an HGV Licence
• Loading and unloading vehicles using cranes or forklifts
• Securing loads for transit
• Operating plant on site as trained
• Assisting Overhead Line Workers with inspection, maintenance, repair, and construction of the overhead electricity network

Requirements

• HGV (C+E) clean licence
• Valid CPC card
• Experience with plant operation, route planning, vehicle checks, load handling, and maintaining logbooks
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Self-motivated, able to work unsupervised, flexible with hours, and able to complete paperwork accurately
