Job summary

Huntsman Recruitment Ltd currently has opportunities for HGV drivers across West Yorkshire. Roles include Class 1, Class 2 and 7.5T driving with flexible patterns including full weeks or odd days. Overtime is available across multiple clients, with some double-manned runs.

Drivers mates may assist with handball and overtime is paid at Time and a Half. Applicants should have relevant licences, a tachograph card, CPC and up to 6 points on their licence.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driving licence for the relevant vehicle type.
• Must hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Must hold a valid CPC card.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• No DD, DG, IN, CD, DR endorsements.
• Must have at least 1 year of HGV driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 1 / Class 2 / 7.5T wagons.
• Make drops locally or Nationwide as required.
• Some routes may be double-manned.
• Assistance from drivers mates for handball when needed.
• Overtime available at multiple clients and paid at Time and 1/2.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for various HGV drivers to work for a number of our distribution and manufacturing clients based throughout West Yorkshire. We have roles for Class 1, Class 2, and 7.5T drivers. Opportunities for ongoing temporary or temp to perm contracts, full weeks or odd days, and overtime.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Driving a Class 1/Class 2/7.5T wagon
• Various drops a day either locally or Nationwide
• Some clients have double-manned runs
• Drivers mates to assist with the handball
• Plenty of overtime available at multiple clients and paid at Time and 1/2

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid driving licence for the relevant vehicle type
• Must hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Must hold a valid CPC card
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• No DD, DG, IN, CD, DR endorsements
• Must have at least 1 year of HGV driving experience

Hours:

• Full weeks or odd days
• Choice of shift times
• Minimum 8 hours paid a day
• Overtime after 8 hours

Salary:

• Range from £14.00-£17.00 basic hourly rates
• Overtime paid at Time and 1/2 after 8 hours
• Holiday Pay
• Minimum 8 hours a day pay
