Job summary

Breedon Group plc, a leading construction materials company, is seeking a Driver for its Hardcrete division based in Watford, Hertfordshire. You will be delivering to local sites, liaising with Distribution teams, and representing the business on the road.

Core hours are 7:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional longer days and some Saturday mornings. This is a full-time permanent role reporting to the Transport Manager.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence required.
• Strong communication skills for customer and team interactions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials locally for Breedon Hardcrete, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Liaise with Distribution and customers to ensure timely orders and accurate deliveries.

Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Driver to support our Hardcrete business, based in Watford, Hertfordshire. This role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis of 45 hours per week, and will report directly to the Transport Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Working for the largest independent construction materials business in the UK and Ireland, within our recently acquired Hardcrete division you’ll never be treated like just a number. You’ll liaise with your colleagues in Distribution every day and because we work locally, you’ll be speaking to the same people and be able to use your local knowledge to get the order delivered safely and efficiently! At Breedon Hardcrete, we pride ourselves on our excellent customer service; in making a material difference to our customers. Our customers love the fact that our drivers understand the product they are delivering and will lend a hand if needed. You’ll be an ideal fit for this position if you enjoy building relationships and have a great sense of humour. As a Driver in our Hardcrete division, you’ll be working locally and be the face of our business. You’ll be working Monday to Friday with core working hours of 7:00am to 5:00pm,although occasionally we may need you to finish a bit later and you will be rota’d to cover occasional Saturday morning’s.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• A HGV Class 2/Class C licence
