Job description

Job Opportunity: HGV/LGV C+E Driver

Pertemps is hiring multiple drivers for our client DHL Nisa based in Scunthorpe. We are looking for regular full-time HGV/LGV C+E Drivers to join our team on a long-term basis. Your responsibilities will include delivering ambient or frozen goods to Nisa Local and Costcutter convenience stores, unloading cages filled with goods upon arrival. The store staff handle splitting the cages on-site.

• Regular shifts on Mon, Tues, Fri, and Sat starting around 04:00 / 05:00
• Basic pay of £17.13 per hour, £19.27 on Saturday & Sunday
• Overtime rate of £22.78 per hour after 42 hours worked
• Weekly bonus of £50 for working four or more shifts
• Paid holidays: 28 days per year (full-time)

• Electronic timesheets for ease and efficiency

Pre-employment requirements:

• Pass a Class 1 HGV site assessment / induction (paid upon completion, takes 8 hours), including:
• Drug and alcohol test (urine sample)
• Multiple choice questionnaire on WTD and general knowledge
• Pre-checks / Coupling up
• Driving assessment on the road
• 5-day classroom-based site induction

Minimum requirements:

• Category C+E (HGV 1) license held for at least 6 months
• Digital Tachograph card and CPC qualification
• Clean driving record with no DR10, CD10, IN10, and no more than 6 points on your license
• Age 21 or above

This role is suitable for individuals with backgrounds as C+E Drivers, Class 1 Drivers, HGV Drivers, LGV Drivers, Lorry Drivers, or Truck Drivers from areas including Scunthorpe, Gainsborough, Immingham, Barton on Humber, Hull, and surrounding regions.
