Job summary

Luton Bennett is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team for UK-wide deliveries, primarily in Kent and the surrounding regions. The role includes night away shifts and overtime opportunities to boost earnings.

You will transport fresh goods to the Rochester site and to supermarket depots across the UK, with some routes extending to Scotland. A valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Experienced HGV Class 1 Driver with current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Proven ability to operate HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Compliance with driving laws and transport regulations is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles to transport goods across Kent and the UK.
• Perform vehicle checks and report any faults.
• Adhere to driving laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Approximately 1 night away per week.
• Roles may include forklift/pump truck operation with training provided.

£17.90 Per Hour + Overtime (£22.37ph – OTE Approx. £54,680) + 28 Days Holiday Including Bank Holidays + Increasing Holidays with Service + EAP + Private GP Service + Overnight Allowance

HGV Class 1 Driver required for a well-established business who can provide stability and opportunity to develop new skills. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a role where approximately 50% of the time you will be working in the Kent area.

This role would suit an experienced HGV Class 1 driver with a current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.

Joining a growing team, the successful candidate will be responsible for transporting fresh goods from across Kent to the company’s site in Rochester. You will also transport packed goods to supermarket depots across the UK, with the furthest location based in Scotland.
