Join Our Team as an HGV Driver at Copart

Copart is recruiting HGV Drivers to join our supportive network of professional drivers at our Newbury Operation Centre, located at RG19 6HN.

You will work Monday to Friday, with no night shifts or bank holiday work, ensuring a healthy work-life balance and more personal time.

Our fleet consists of 15 brand new Euro 6 DAF transporters equipped with the latest telematics, 360-degree cameras, and AI technology. We are looking for drivers to be part of our growth and innovation.

The role involves loading, collecting, and delivering accident-damaged vehicles of various sizes and conditions on our salvage transporters. The job can be physically demanding. You will serve insurance and automotive customers, perform vehicle checks, report defects, photograph damages, and inspect vehicles during collection and delivery. All drivers must operate vehicles and loading equipment safely and in compliance with legal and company standards, following all health and safety policies.

No transporter experience? No problem! We provide comprehensive training, including 3 weeks of dedicated 1-2-1 job-related training and annual CPC training. If you hold a Cat C licence, you can upskill to C+E after your probation period.

What We Require from You

• HGV/LGV Licence, Class 1 or Class 2 (essential)
• Understanding of EU drivers' hours and working time rules using a tachograph
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with basic IT skills and handheld devices
• Experience in car transportation or recovery (advantageous)
