Job summary

Lanes Group in Manchester is seeking a skilled HGV Operator (Drainage) to join our depot-based team. The role involves operating high-pressure jetting and vacuumation units to identify defects and clear blockages in drains and sewers, with full training provided.

Hours are Monday to Friday (40 hours), with enhanced overtime rates, weekly pay, and a comprehensive benefits package including 21 days holiday plus bank holidays, life assurance, auto-enrolment pension and free on-site parking.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence with no more than 6 penalty points ideally
• A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is desirable
• An in date CSCS would be advantageous – however this could be obtained if necessary

Responsibilities

• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems - full training will be provided
• Liaising with customers
• Updating electronical records
• Ensuring safety issues are reported
• Vehicle and Jetting Equipment checks

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated HGV Operator (Drainage) to join our Depot based in Manchester. This role involves identifying defects and blockages within the sewer network and using high pressure water jetting to clean and clear.

About the role:

• Location: Manchester
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
• Salary: £14 - £15 per hour dependant on experience

As a HGV Operator (Drainage), you will:

• You will be working closely in a team of 2 operating high specification jetting and vacuumation units - full training will be provided
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems - full training will be provided
• Liaising with customers.
