Job summary

Adler and Allan is seeking an HGV driver (ADR or non-ADR) to operate from a Manchester depot as part of a small team, delivering drainage and tankering services for major oil clients and independent customers. You will help ensure systems work correctly and provide long-term solutions, with a strong focus on safety and compliance.

The role involves manual work cleaning site drainage and tank systems to meet EA guidelines, with full training provided where needed.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as part of a 1–2 person team to perform site tankering, jetting, and drain cleaning at forecourt and drainage locations.
  • Carry out Near miss & potential incident reporting; in-house training will be provided.
  • Liaise with customers on site to discuss ongoing works and further services.
  • Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure equipment, PPE and tools are in good order and ready for use; report damages to supervision.
  • Complete all works paperwork and submit to divisional supervision in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with supervision regarding works and potential improvements.
  • Perform any other duties you are qualified for.

Operating from one of our Manchester depot, you will be required to operate as part of a team, working alongside other Engineers, fulfilling works for major oil companies & independent customers in the Forecourt Services division. You will be required to contribute to ensuring systems are working correctly and identifying root causes and provide customers with long a term solution.

Operating from one of our Manchester depot, you will be required to operate as part of a team, working alongside other engineers, fulfilling works for major oil companies and independent customers in the Forecourt Services division. You will be required to contribute to ensuring systems are working correctly and identifying root causes and provide customers with long a term solution. The duties of this position include a high degree of manual work required when cleaning site drainage and tank systems to ensure compliance with the EA Guidelines/regulations.

  • Operate as part of a one/two person team to perform and deliver site tankering works, which will include jetting and drain cleaning works, interceptor cleaning and servicing and reactive works on petrol filling stations, distribution centres and at large scale drainage infrastructure locations.
  • Carry out Near miss & potential incident reporting. In-house training will be provided.
  • Liaison with customers on site to discuss on-going works and further services of the Company.
  • Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure all equipment, tools, PPE and other work items are in good order and repair and available for use at all times. You will be expected to inform supervision as soon as any damage is identified.
  • Completion of all works paperwork and submission in a timely manner to divisional supervision.
  • Liaison with supervision regarding all works and recommending improvements of possible opportunities.
  • Any other duties for which you are qualified for and capable of undertaking.
