Job summary

GAP Group Ltd. is seeking a reliable HGV Driver for our Maidstone Plant & Tools division to join the UK operations. You will load, deliver, and collect hire equipment such as diggers and power tools to construction sites across the UK, ensuring safe handling and accurate paperwork.

This full-time role requires a valid Category C (HGV) licence, a strong safety mindset, and excellent customer service. You'll work with a supportive team and gain opportunities across GAP's nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a driving role, ideally delivering plant or tool equipment.
• Full UK driving licence with Category C (HGV) entitlement.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete paperwork accurately.
• Professional, friendly approach when dealing with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Load, deliver, and collect hire equipment safely and professionally.
• Demonstrate kit on-site as required and check paperwork for accuracy.
• Navigate routes across the UK to construction, utilities and infrastructure sites.
• Maintain compliant documentation and vehicle checks throughout shifts.

You’ll load, deliver, and collect hire equipment safely and professionally, often demonstrating kit on-site and ensuring all checks and paperwork are completed accurately. Whether you're navigating busy city streets or remote rural roads, your role is key to keeping projects running smoothly.
