Job summary

Tarmac Trading Limited in London is seeking a professional HGV Driver to join our Plant & Transport team at the Wick Lane depot. You will transport plant, materials and equipment across sites, while maintaining high safety and compliance standards.

Key duties include vehicle inspections, route planning, and accurate documentation. A valid HGV licence with CPC and tachograph cards is required; experience in construction settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with HGV entitlement (Class 1 or 2).
• Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card are mandatory.
• Experience operating HGVs in construction/highways/infrastructure preferred.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and compliance.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to use digital systems and mobile apps.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating HGVs in line with legislation and company standards.
• Delivering/collecting materials, plant, equipment and waste across sites.
• Carrying out daily vehicle inspections and reporting defects.
• Planning routes and completing transport documentation accurately.
• Complying with Drivers' Hours Regulations and tachograph rules.
• Supporting fleet activities and moving vehicles between sites as needed.
• Using Syrinx 365 and Driver App to keep records up to date.
• Completing FORS training and promoting road safety and efficiency.

We're looking for a professional and safety-focused **HGV Driver** to join our Plant & Transport team and help keep our operations moving safely and efficiently. Based from our Wick Lane depot, you'll be responsible for transporting plant, materials, equipment and machinery to sites across the business while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and customer serviceThis is a varied role that offers more than just driving.
