Job summary

Award-winning Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Drainage Engineer to join a growing drainage team. You will work across commercial and domestic clients, operating jetting and vacuum equipment in field-based roles to support maintenance and repair works.

You will drive a HGV Class 2 Combi/Jetting vehicle, perform high-pressure jetting, vacuum excavation, and ensure drainage systems are clean and functional. Overtime and away-from-home work may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in drainage and jetting operations.
• Strong understanding of RAMS and safe systems of work.
• Full UK driving licence and HGV Class 2 entitlement.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and service Jet Vac equipment in line with manuals.
• Drive and operate HGV Class 2 Combi/Jetting vehicle safely.
• Carry out high-pressure water jetting and vacuum excavation.
• Maintain drainage systems including sewers, pipes and interceptors.
• Work in confined spaces following safety procedures.
• Comply with RAMS and site safety rules.
• Complete waste documentation and duty-of-care paperwork.
• Communicate with clients, site teams and line managers.
• Work overtime and away from home when required.

Job description

We are recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drainage Engineer to join a growing drainage team working across commercial, domestic clients..

This is a hands-on, field-based role operating specialist jetting and vacuum equipment, supporting drainage maintenance and repair works across the network.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and service Jet Vac (Combi Unit) equipment in line with manufacturer service manuals
• Drive and operate an HGV Class 2 Combi / Jetting vehicle safely and efficiently
• Carry out high-pressure water jetting and vacuum excavation work
• Clean and maintain drainage systems including:
  • Sewers and pipework
  • Interceptors
• Work in and around confined spaces in accordance with safety procedures
• Ensure full compliance with RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements) and site safety rules
• Complete all required waste documentation and duty-of-care paperwork
• Communicate effectively with clients, site teams, and line managers
• Work flexibly, including overtime and working away from home during the week

Health & Safety Responsibilities

• Strict adherence to RAMS documentation on all sites
• Safe operation of high-pressure water jetting and vacuum systems
• Compliance with environmental waste handling regulations
• Working safely in confined or high-risk environments

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
• Proven experience in drainage and jetting operations
• Strong understanding of safe systems of work and RAMS compliance
• Full clean UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK
• High Pressure Water Jetting (HPWJ) certification
• Confined Space training
• Experience in patch lining / UV drain lining

• Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
• Willingness to carry out physically demanding outdoor work
• Flexibility to work overtime and away from home when required
• £18.00- £21ph depending on experience- enhanced overtime rates
