Job summary

Royal Mail Fleet in Crick is seeking an experienced Level 3 heavy vehicle technician to service, maintain and repair trailers, HGVs and LCVs as part of a brand-new 16-bay workshop. You will receive full training, with clear progression opportunities and long-term stability.

The role includes structured shift patterns, generous earnings, and extensive training in DDT and MOT/inspection standards, with travel between Crick/Coventry before settling at the Midlands Super Hub by late 2026.

Qualifications

• IMI Level 3 qualified mechanic (heavy vehicle maintenance) or equivalent.
• Experience in vehicle maintenance or trailer work.
• Interest in DDT / HGV progression (if not already qualified).
• Full manual UK driving licence (C1, C+E desirable, not essential).
• Flexible to service demands and able to work on a shift rota.
• Team player with pride in workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair trailers (including DDTs), HGVs and LCVs.
• Carry out PMIs, inspections, diagnostics & fault-finding.
• Work in a modern, well-equipped workshop, using specialist tooling and your own tools.
• Play a key role in keeping one of the UK's largest fleets operational.
