Night Driver Opportunities at Pertemps

Pertemps has an exciting opportunity for Night Drivers to work out of the National Distribution Centre in Howden, Goole (DN14). The role involves working 4 to 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, on behalf of a global leader in the logistics industry. Drivers will transport products such as kitchens and fixtures to Howden Joinery Sites across various regions (occasional weekend shifts).

Driver Duties include:

• Trunking between depots and sites
• Palletised goods handling
• No manual handballing or lifting required
• Experience with curtain sider work is essential
• Shift availability Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays and Sundays during peak periods
• Ensuring loads are safely secured and following safety procedures
• Completing delivery paperwork and logbooks

Immediate starts are available upon successful completion of a 1.5-day assessment. Various start times can be accommodated.

Driver Tasks:

• Planning delivery schedules and routes with transport managers
• Securing loads properly, including strapping (a legal requirement)
• Following traffic reports and adjusting routes as needed
• Completing delivery documentation and driver checks

Driver Requirements:

• A valid LGV C+E entitlement with at least 12 months of experience
• A driving license with no more than 6 penalty points and no endorsements such as DD, DR, or IN10

Salary and Benefits:

• Monday to Friday nights: £20.63 per hour (flat rate)
• Saturday all hours: £25.79 per hour
• Sunday and bank holidays: £25.79 per hour

Paid breaks are included. All pay rates are based on PAYE; LTD or umbrella companies are not accepted. Holiday pay accrues based on approximately 2 days per month for a 40-hour week. An optional pension scheme is available, and SSP is paid after a qualifying period for sickness.
