Night Drivers - Opportunities with Pertemps

Would you like to work for a company that respects and cares for its drivers, treating you like one of their own? Look no further!

Pertemps has an exciting opportunity for Night Drivers to work out of the National Distribution Centre in Howden, Goole (DN14). The role involves working 4 to 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, on behalf of a client who specializes in the logistics industry and is a global leader. Drivers will transport products such as kitchens and fixtures to Howden Joinery sites across various regions, with occasional weekend shifts.

C+E Drivers Duties:

• Trunking between depots and sites
• Palletised goods
• No handballing or lifting required
• Curtain sider work (must have experience)
• Shift availability Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday and Sunday shifts during peaks
• Ensuring loads are safely secured with a safety-first approach
• Completing daily delivery paperwork and logbooks

Immediate starts are available upon successful completion of a 1.5-day assessment. Various shift start times can be discussed.

Additional Tasks for C+E Drivers:

• Planning delivery schedules and routes with transport managers
• Securing loads safely
• Pulling back curtain siders (minimal handballing required)
• Strapping loads (a legal requirement)
• Following traffic reports and adjusting routes as necessary
• Completing delivery paperwork and driver check seats

Requirements for C+E Drivers:

• A valid LGV C+E entitlement with at least 12 months of experience
• Driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points and free of endorsements such as DD, DR, or IN10

Salary and Benefits:

• Monday to Friday nights: £20.63 per hour (flat rate)
• Saturday all hours: £25.79 per hour (flat rate)
• Sunday and bank holidays: £25.79 per hour (flat rate)

Paid breaks are included. All pay rates are based on PAYE; LTD or umbrella companies are not accepted. Holiday pay accrues at approximately 2 days per month on a 40-hour week. An optional pension scheme is available, and SSP is paid after a qualifying period.
