Job description

Pertemps has an exciting opportunity for HGV Class C+E drivers on Day, Night, ADHOC, Full weeks, and weekends. We are very flexible. These vacancies are based at a National Distribution Centre in Sheffield (Shepcote Lane), South Yorkshire. The role involves working on behalf of a client who specializes in logistics and is a global leader in the field. Drivers will transport products to RDCs throughout the home counties.

Duties will include:

1. Trunking between depot and RDCs.
2. Potentially carrying back loads.
3. Adopting a safety-first approach to driving and load security.
4. Completing daily delivery paperwork and logbooks.
5. Transporting products such as sweets and electric goods.
6. Starting between 04:00-07:00 for day shifts and 16:00-20:00 for night shifts, Monday to Sunday.

Immediate starts are available.

We offer fully paid induction and driving assessments upon successful completion.

Skills & Experience:

1. Experience in curtain sider work.
2. Ability to solve issues effectively.
3. Supervising your load and ensuring loads are safely secured.
4. Following traffic reports and adjusting routes accordingly.
5. Completing delivery paperwork and logbooks.

Driver Requirements:

1. Hold a LGV C+E licence with at least 1 year of experience.
2. A driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points and no endorsements such as DD, DR, or IN10.

Pay Rates (PAYE):

1. Monday to Friday Days: £16.00/hr (guaranteed 8 hours)
2. Monday to Friday Nights: £17.00/hr (guaranteed 8 hours)
3. Saturday All Hours: £17.00/hr (guaranteed 8 hours)
4. Sunday All Hours: £18.00/hr (guaranteed 8 hours)

All pay rates are based on PAYE, excluding LTD or umbrella companies. Holiday pay accrues at approximately 2 days per month on a 40-hour week. Holidays are not paid in advance. An optional pension scheme is available, and SSP is paid after a qualifying period.
