Job summary

Panda is seeking a highly experienced HGV Trade Waste Driver to join our Leeds team. You will safely collect and transport commercial waste using our modern Class 2 vehicles, with early start times (around 4–5am) from Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities include daily vehicle checks, accurate tablet-based records, and efficient route planning while maintaining high health and safety standards. Prior waste logistics experience is preferred and customer-facing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
• Current and in-date Driver CPC Qualification (or CPC Card).
• Digital Tachograph Card and relevant recording experience.
• Proven HGV operations experience, preferably in waste sector.
• Excellent customer-facing skills and communication ability.

Responsibilities

• HGV Driving: Safely operate Class 2 vehicles on trade waste routes.
• Compliance: Adhere to DVSA regulations, WTD, drivers' hours, and waste duty of care.
• Vehicle Management: Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Digital Records: Maintain accurate waste transfer notes using tablets.
• Route Optimisation: Plan routes to maximise productivity and efficiency.
• Health & Safety: Champion safety standards and report incidents promptly.
