Job summary

Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to join a busy waste management operation based in Rochford. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver with previous skip vehicle experience looking for ongoing, full-time work with regular weekday hours and optional Saturday overtime.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous skip driving experience is essential.
• Good knowledge of UK driver hours and road safety regulations.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, collect, and transport skips to and from commercial and residential customer sites.
• Safely transport and dispose of waste in line with company procedures and environmental regulations.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
• Complete all delivery and collection paperwork accurately.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.
• Follow all road transport legislation, driver hours regulations, and health & safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and roadworthy vehicle at all times.
