Quest Waste Management in York is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 Jet Vac / Recycler Driver to join our team. You will operate jetting equipment and vacuum units in a two‑person crew, handling drainage tasks and emergency call-outs.

Essentially, you must hold a valid HGV Class 2 licence with up to 6 penalty points and a Digital Tachograph Card. Tanker experience is advantageous, with training provided where needed. Competitive benefits apply.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate Jet Vac / Recycler Tankers as part of a two-person crew.
• Respond to emergency call-outs and address sewer blockages, floods, and pollution.
• Collect and dispose of controlled and liquid waste in compliance with regulations.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental procedures at all times.
• Carry out pre- and post‑shift vehicle checks and maintain records.
• Record job details accurately and complete documentation.
• Ensure PPE is in good condition and fit for use.
• Be flexible to cover other field teams when needed.

Position Overview

We are looking for a reliable and professional HGV Class 2 Jet Vac / Recycler Driver to join our team. In this role, you will work as part of a two-person team, operating advanced jetting equipment and vacuum units. Your daily tasks will involve a wide range of drainage tasks, including clearing blockages, carrying out drain maintenance, and responding to emergency call-outs.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a range of specialist Jet Vac / Recycler Tankers
• Respond to emergency call-outs, addressing sewer blockages, flooding, and pollution incidents.
• Handle the collection and safe disposal of controlled and liquid waste in compliance with regulations.
• Adhere to statutory health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Conduct pre-and post-shift vehicle checks to ensure operational compliance.
• Accurately record all job details and maintain proper documentation.
• Ensure that all personal protective equipment (PPE) is in good condition and fit for use.
• Be adaptable and willing to take on additional duties when your vehicle is off the road or when support is needed for other field teams.

Essential

• Possession of a valid HGV Class 2 driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points

Desirable

• Experience operating tankers is advantageous; training can be provided
• Training or demonstrated competency in areas such as high-pressure jetting, first aid, and manual handling
• Prepared to learn new skills and undertake new activities in line with company growth and personal development with research
• Competent in using an electronic tablet device
