Driver Hire Dundee seeks an experienced HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver to join our client’s team on an ongoing basis. You will safely operate a Class 2 vehicle with a HIAB crane to deliver and unload goods across sites in Scotland and beyond.

The role demands a valid HGV Class 2 licence with CPC, HIAB experience, and strong route planning and safety awareness. Excellent customer service and punctuality are highly valued as part of our safety‑conscious operations.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence with CPC (CPC up-to-date).
• HIAB crane experience with appropriate ticket.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 HGV with HIAB to deliver to designated sites.

• Plan delivery routes efficiently and adhere to schedules.

• Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle with HIAB crane to transport goods to designated sites.

• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards and vehicle compliance.
• Plan delivery routes efficiently, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations.
• Assist with securing loads on flatbeds or other vehicle types as needed for safe transportation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery statuses or any issues encountered.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and records in compliance with company policies.

Skills

• Proven experience as a commercial delivery driver with a focus on flatbed or similar load types.
• Valid HGV Class 2 license with up-to‑date CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
• Skilled in operating HIAB cranes safely and efficiently, and with appropriate ticket.
• Strong knowledge of driving regulations, safety procedures, and load securing techniques.
• Excellent route planning and time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
• Ability to handle physical tasks involved in loading/unloading cargo with precision.
• Previous experience working as a delivery driver with a focus on customer service is highly desirable.
