Job summary

Driver Hire Preston is recruiting 3 Class 2 HGV HIAB drivers for a timber merchant client. Permanent roles offered after a period of temporary work, with regular hours.

Must hold UK Class 2 licence and HIAB licence, CPC and Tachograph cards, and keep points under 8. Duties include delivering with HIAB and daily vehicle checks; wages £18-£24 per hour PAYE, weekly pay, 8 hours minimum per shift.

Qualifications

• UK Class 2 licence held and valid HIAB licence.
• CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Less than 8 penalty points on licence.
• Keen to look after the vehicle and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building products to sites using HIAB crane.
• Daily vehicle checks and walk-arounds; report damage/defects.
• Use tachograph correctly and observe drivers hours.

Job description

We are looking to recruit 3 Class 2 HGV drivers with HIAB Licence for our client who is a timber merchant.

This is a permanent position for the right applicant.

Please do not apply if you do not have a current valid HIAB lorry mounted crane licence.

As a Class 2 HGV HIAB Driver, you will need

• A UK issued Class 2 driving Licence and valid, current HIAB operators licence
• A valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Less than 8 points on your licence
• To be keen to look after your vehicle.

HGV HIAB Driver responsibilities include:

• Delivering building products to site using HIAB crane
• Daily walk round and Vehicle checks. Reporting existing damage and defects.
• Correct use of Tachograph and drivers hours

The successful Class 2 HGV HIAB Drivers can expect:

• Monday-Friday: £18.00 - £24.00 PAYE Per Hour Advanced
• Weekly Pay, paid on time every time.
• 8hr minimum guaranteed pay per shift
• Subsidised ongoing CPC training.

Permanent employed positions available after a period of temporary work.

We have found other driving, logistics and warehouse professionals to be successful such as Class 1 or Class 2 or 7.5 Ton or Heavy Goods Driver and other commercial driving professions.

These positions are commutable from Blackpool, Fleetwood, Garstang, Southport, Chorley, Leyland, Bamber Bridge and other areas nearby.
