Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Class 2 HIAB driver for our Wickes home-delivery service in Burton upon Trent. The role is full-time and permanent, with a 39-hour week Monday to Friday, starting at 07:00, with Saturday shifts during peak periods.

Salary is £31,905.17 with a KPI bonus of £240 per month during peak periods, plus 25 days’ annual leave and workplace pension. Training, progression opportunities, and employee discounts are available.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with category Class 2 entitlement.
• HIAB licence advantageous, training available.
• Driver Qualification Card (CPC) required.
• Digital Tachograph Card must be held.
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence.
• DBS check will be required.

Responsibilities

• Move and deliver customers’ products accurately and on time.
• Provide excellent face-to-face customer service.
• Deliver bulk items to homes using a Class 2 HIAB vehicle.

Are you an experienced Class 2 HIAB driver looking for a change? Or would you like to gain a new qualification? If so, we are looking for you!

Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for a full-time, permanent Class 2 HIAB driver to join our home delivery team in Burton on Trent for our customer, Wickes.

You will be contracted to work 39 hours / week, on a Monday to Friday schedule with 07:00 am start times, with Saturdays during peak period.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Responsible for the accurate, timely movement and delivery of our customers’ products
• Providing excellent face to face customer service to customer
• As required delivery of bulk items to customer homes using a class 2 HIAB vehicle from Wickes stores

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• A full UK driving licence with category class 2 entitlement
• HIAB licence (ALLMI or equivalent) is advantageous but not necessary as training can be provided
• A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
• Be in possession of a valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 current penalty points
• Successful applicant will be subject to a DBS check
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
• Successful candidates will be required to pass a DBS check
