Job summary

GXO Logistics is recruiting a Class 2 HIAB driver for our Warrington home delivery team serving Wickes. The role is full-time, permanent, with a 39-hour week from Monday to Friday, starting at 07:00, and occasional cover for annual leave or sickness on Tue–Sat.

You will deliver products, provide strong customer service, and use a Class 2 HIAB for bulk deliveries from Wickes stores. DBS checks and licencing requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement.
• HIAB licence (ALLMI) or equivalent is advantageous, training can be provided.
• Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC) is required.
• Digital Tachograph Card is required.
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
• DBS check will be carried out.
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements in the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Move and deliver customers’ products accurately and on time.
• Provide excellent face-to-face customer service.
• Deliver bulk items to customer homes using a class 2 HIAB from Wickes stores.

Job description

Are you an experienced Class 2 HIAB driver looking for a new adventure? Or would you like to gain a new qualification? If you are ready to join a team that values expertise.

Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for a full-time, permanent Class 2 HIAB driver to join our home delivery team in Warrington for our customer, Wickes.

You will be contracted to work 39 annualised hours per week, on a Monday to Friday schedule with 07:00 am start times, with occasional cover for annual leave or sickness on Tuesday to Saturday when required.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Responsible for the accurate, timely movement and delivery of our customers’ products
• Providing excellent face to face customer service to customer
• As required delivery of bulk items to customer homes using a class 2 HIAB vehicle from Wickes stores

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• A full UK driving licence with category class 2 entitlement
• HIAB licence (ALLMI or equivalent) is advantageous but not necessary as training can be provided
• A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
• Be in possession of a valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 current penalty points
• Successful applicant will be subject to a DBS check
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
