Driver Hire Stockport is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Gully Tanker Driver for assignments in the Stockport area. The role involves operating a specialised gully tanker, performing highway gully emptying and cleaning, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have a valid HGV Class 2 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, and experience driving in urban environments. Nights may be required on occasion, with a 40-hour week and a pay rate of £15.31 per hour in

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence (Category C).
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card and knowledge of its use.
• Experience operating HGVs in residential/urban areas.
• Knowledge of Chapter 8 traffic management requirements.
• Water Jetting Association qualification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 gully tanker to perform scheduled emptying and cleaning.
• Clear and jet blocked gullies and drains across highways, residential areas, and commercial premises.
• Use specialist jetting equipment and tools to remove blockages.
• Record and report completed work using in-cab technology.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain safety standards.
• Work as part of a team to complete maintenance tasks.
• Follow health and safety procedures.
