Job summary

Corus Consultancy is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver to join an ongoing contract in Calderdale, Halifax. The role covers residential waste and recycling collections on a local authority contract, with optional weekend shifts.

You will drive a refuse collection vehicle and may assist with loading as required. A permanent position may be offered after 12 weeks for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Maximum 6 penalty points (no DR endorsements).
• Able to carry out manual handling duties.
• Willingness to work as driver/loader when required.
• PPE: safety boots and hi-vis clothing.

Responsibilities

• Operate a refuse collection vehicle on residential waste routes.
• Support waste collection operations and loading when required.
