Job summary

The Opportunity Hub UK in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver (Refuse Collection Driver/Loader) to join our operations team.

You will drive a dustcart, collect residential waste, and assist with loading when required. Induction and HGV driving assessment are arranged on site; physical work is part of the role. 12-week temp-to-perm with weekday hours, Monday to Friday, with potential weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence (Category C) required.
• Driver CPC and tachograph card required.
• Willingness to perform physical/manual work.

Responsibilities

• Drive a dustcart (refuse truck) to collect residential waste.
• Conduct HGV driving assessment and induction before starting.
• Assist with loading bins when needed as part of a driver/loader role.
• Follow safety procedures and wear safety boots/hi-vis as required.
