RiverRidge Limited in Belfast seeks a permanent HGV Class 2 Driver to cover multi‑drop deliveries and collections across Northern Ireland. The role offers a guaranteed 40‑hour week, Monday–Friday, with overtime and a £2,500 First-Year Driver Bonus.

Earn up to £19.87 per hour, plus overtime and bonuses, with 28 days’ holiday and a company pension. Responsibilities include daily vehicle checks, compliance with driver hours, and delivering excellent customer service while supporting the transport

Join RiverRidge as a permanent HGV Class 2 Driver, based at Belfast. You will complete multi-drop deliveries and collections across Northern Ireland and, where required, collect and move commercial containers.

With a guaranteed 40-hour week, Monday-to-Friday working, overtime rates, and a £2,500 First-Year Driver Bonus, this is a secure driving role with an established local waste-management business.

YOUR PAY & BONUS

Up to £19.87 per hour

£2,500 First-Year Driver Bonus — payments of £500 after 2, 4, 6, 9 and 12 months, subject to the scheme rules

Up to c. £50,029.56 in your first year* when working 45 paid hours each week and receiving the full £2,500 First-Year Driver Bonus

Guaranteed minimum 40 hours per week — basic annual pay of £41,329.60

Hours above 43, Monday to Friday, paid at £29.81 per hour (time and a half)

Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday hours paid at £29.81 per hour

28 days’ annual leave, including eight customary/bank holidays

£1,000 Driver Referral Scheme, subject to scheme rules

THE JOB

Complete multi-drop deliveries and collections safely and efficiently.

Collect and move commercial containers when required.

Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly to the Transport Office.

Follow drivers’ hours rules, operating-licence procedures, and all health and safety requirements.

Deliver excellent customer service and represent RiverRidge professionally.

Complete required training and cooperate with security-clearance processes.

Work closely with the transport team to maintain a reliable service.

WHAT YOU NEED

ESSENTIAL

A valid Category C HGV licence

A digital tachograph card and full Driver CPC

A full UK driving licence with no more than six penalty points

A strong commitment to health and safety and compliance

Good knowledge of drivers’ hours rules and safe HGV operation

The ability to undertake manual work and obtain required security clearances

A professional, customer-focused approach and the ability to work well with others

Flexibility where operational needs occasionally affect finish times, with weekend and bank-holiday work agreed as required

DESIRABLE

At least six months’ HGV driving experience

Experience in the waste industry

• HGV driving experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Applications from newly qualified Category C drivers are welcome.
• Experience in the waste industry is also an advantage.

Any offer of employment is subject to a successful driving assessment and satisfactory evidence of eligibility to work in the UK.

This totals £47,529.56 a year, or £50,029 with the full £2,500 First-Year Driver Bonus. Actual earnings depend on hours worked and eligibility for the bonus. Overtime is not guaranteed.
