Job summary

Driver Require Ltd is recruiting Class 2 Drivers for ongoing, full-time work with a client based in Tamworth. The role operates with start times between 4:00 and 06:00, Monday to Friday, with additional nights out as needed.

Responsibilities include daily vehicle checks, strapping loads, handballing, multi-drop routes (up to 10 drops) and liaising with customers and the Transport Team to keep everyone updated on delivery status.

Qualifications

• Must have 12 months Class 2 driver experience.
• Strapping and loading experience required.
• Max 6 points on licence with no major convictions (DD/DR/IN10's).
• Nights out may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily checks on the vehicle for a job.
• Complete minor repairs to the vehicle where necessary.
• Report damage, defects or wear-and-tear to the Transport Team.
• Ensure the load is strapped down.
• Drive a Class 2 Lorry to and from customer locations.
• Multi drop (up to 10 drops).
• Handballing required - no dirty work.
• Liaise with customers and with Transport Team on status and whereabouts.
• Manage driving time to avoid infringements.

Pay Rates:

• Weekday - £15.00 plus holiday pay
• Weekend - £16.50 plus holiday Pay
• Night out - £25.00

Driver Require are recruiting Class 2 Drivers for ongoing, full-time work with one of our prestigious clients based in Tamworth.

The role as an Class 2 driver will include:

• Carrying out daily checks on the vehicle you are assigned for a job.
• Completing minor repairs to the vehicles where necessary and appropriate to do so.
• Reporting any damage, defects, or wear-and-tear to the Transport Team
• Ensuring the load is strapped down
• Driving a Class 2 Lorry to and from their customer locations
• Multi drop (up to10 drops)
• Handballing required - no dirty work
• Liaising with Customers
• Liaising with the Transport Team to ensure that they are kept appraised of the status of your delivery and whereabouts
• Effectively managing your driving time so that you don't acquire infringements.
• Nights out maybe needed

Class 2 Driver requirements:

• Must have 12 months Class 2 Driver experience
• Strapping and loading experience needed
• Be mindful of the vehicles when driving to customer eg fitting into tight spaces
• Maximum 6 points on licence with no major convictions DD/DR/IN10's
