Job summary

Driver Require are recruiting Class 2 Drivers for ongoing, full-time work based in Tamworth. The role involves driving a Class 2 lorry, performing daily vehicle checks, and completing multi-drop deliveries to customer sites from early morning shifts.

Shifts start between 04:00 and 06:00, with pay rates of £15.00 per hour on Weekdays, £16.50 per hour on Weekends, and £25.00 for night outs, plus holiday pay. Ongoing Monday to Friday work with onsite facilities and pension available.

Qualifications

• 12 months Class 2 driving experience required.
• Strapping and loading experience required.
• Maximum 6 points on licence and no major convictions.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out daily checks on the vehicle.
• Completing minor repairs where possible.
• Reporting any damage or wear to the Transport Team.
• Ensuring the load is strapped down.
• Driving a Class 2 lorry to customer locations.
• Performing multi-drop deliveries (up to 10 drops).
• Handballing as required – no dirty work.
• Liaising with customers and Transport Team to update status.
• Managing driving time to avoid infringements.
• Nights out may be needed.
