Job summary

Greenline Environmental Ltd is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join our Waste & Recycling team. You will be responsible for the collection, transportation, and delivery of waste and recyclable materials with a strong focus on safety and customer service.

The role requires a valid UK HGV Class 2 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, and good knowledge of Driver Hours Regulations. Overtime opportunities and a company pension are available.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of Driver Hours Regulations and transport compliance requirements.
• Experience in waste management, recycling, environmental services, or construction sectors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Carry out scheduled collections and deliveries of waste and recyclables.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Ensure waste transported in compliance with environmental legislation and duty of care.
• Adhere to Driver Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive.
• Assist with loading/unloading where required.
• Maintain professional customer service when dealing with clients and the public.
• Keep vehicles clean, safe, and roadworthy.
• Report accidents, incidents, near misses, or issues promptly.
