Job summary

Drivers Today in Stoke-on-Trent is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 driver for a temp-to-perm role. You'll perform multi‑drop pallet deliveries and collections using curtain‑sided trucks, with day shifts and Monday–Friday work patterns.

The position offers a genuine route to permanent employment within an established transport company. You must hold a HGV Class 2 / Category C licence, Driver CPC and a digital tachograph card, with prior Class 2 experience.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 / Category C licence.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience.
• Multi-drop pallet distribution experience preferred.
• Confidence operating curtain‑sided vehicles.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable attendance and excellent timekeeping.
• A genuine interest in securing permanent employment.

Responsibilities

• Driving HGV Class 2 multi-drop pallet deliveries and collections using curtain‑sided vehicles.
• Deliveries to commercial and industrial customers; complete delivery paperwork.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and use tail lifts where required.
• Provide professional customer service and follow drivers' hours/tachograph regulations.
