Job summary

The Best Connection Employment Group is recruiting on behalf of a client in Andover for an HGV Class 2 Driver. The role offers a 12-week temp-to-perm pathway with potential permanent employment for the right candidate.

Annual salary is £32,250 with overtime at time and a half. Working Monday to Friday, 05:00 starts, you will deliver steel products to varied locations and ensure loads are secured safely.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Experience using chains to secure loads.
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 vehicle, delivering steel products to various locations.
• Secure loads safely using chains and other appropriate equipment.
• Carry out pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections.
• Follow delivery schedules and instructions accurately.
• Communicate professionally with the transport office, dispatchers and colleagues to ensure deliveries are completed efficiently.
• Comply with all relevant health and safety policies and procedures.
