Job description:

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Dundee area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.

Hours: Working 5 shifts out of 7 shifts across Monday to Sunday - Days 6am -9am start

Pay Rate:

Days: £13.01 per hour PAYE

Location: Dundee, DD2

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.

The role:

1. Safely transporting our palletised parcels to Couriers or collecting from Delivery Units.
2. Typically have a run with 4 - 5 drops ensuring the safe, efficient driving of vehicles and keeping the paperwork updated.
3. Using tail lift/pump truck to handle pallets at sub depots.
4. Ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods.
5. Maintaining a clean and organised vehicle.
6. Collaborating with warehouse and logistics teams for efficient operations.
7. Complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and then complete a few days paid training if assessment is successful.

Requirements:

1. Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
2. Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
3. No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
4. Full understanding of WTD legislation.
5. Ability to operate tail lift and pump truck equipment.
6. Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
7. Excellent communication skills.
8. A safety-first mindset.
