Job description

Are you an experienced Porter/Driver with a Full Class 2 Driving License looking for a new role in a company with nearly 150 years of experience within the logistics and removals sector?

Due to continued growth, we're looking for a Class 2 Driver who is hard-working and resilient, as you'll be delivering and loading/unloading a range of goods from furniture to high-valued artwork. You'll be part of a team delivering a premium service, loading and unloading, ensuring great care is taken in the safe journey of our clients' valued items and your colleagues.

Skills, Qualifications, and Licences

• HGV Class 2 Driving Licence (essential)
• Team leading and/or supervisory experience (preferred)
• Digital Tacho Driver Card (essential)
• CSCS Green Card (preferred)
• Drivers Qualification Card (CPC) (essential)
• Knowledge of established legal tachograph procedures (essential)
• ADR - Packages (preferred)

Daily Responsibilities

• Vehicle daily checks of your allocated HGV Class 2/7.5t /3.5t vehicle
• Ensuring the vehicle is equipped with all the relevant specialist equipment required for the day’s operation
• Lifting and packing a range of office furniture, soft furnishings, hardware, fine art, etc.
• Taking goods in or out of storage
• Lifting and moving loads in excess of 25kg
• Ensuring the highest standards are met when on site
• Responsible for your health and safety and that of your colleagues
• Always delivering excellent customer care and service
• Working as an integral team member during larger specialist projects, including laboratory and executive office relocations
• Complying with all company and health and safety procedures

As a Class 2 Driver, you'll receive a starting day rate of £130-£140, depending on experience. Incentives and a benefits package—including Employee Discount Scheme, Healthcare, and Death in Service cover after 3 months—are also provided.
