Job description

We are looking for experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our client's Team on a permanent position.

• £17.00 per hour after passing probation (£16.15 with holiday pay during probation)
• Monday – Friday with the option to work weekends.
• 28-Days holiday

Driver Hire, the UK’s largest specialist transport and logistics recruitment company have been engaged by a major European company to recruit their HGV Class 2 Drivers. Based in Manchester, you will be collecting drums of used cooking oil from various Northwest locations. Those will include Hotels, Restaurants, Bars Takeways etc.

Our client is looking for a HGV Class 2 Driver to take a full time Temp to Perm role.

• You assist customers in afriendlymanner and ensureexcellent service. Customer satisfaction is particularly important to us!
• On average, you visit15 to 25 customers per day– no problem for you!
• Youfollow the routeplanned for you and collect from Restaurants, Hotels, and other businesses.
• You workindependently, enjoy your journeys, and keep your administrationsimple usinga smartphone or tablet.
• At the end of the day, you deliver our collected load, and your workday is done.Ready for a new journey tomorrow!
• Start time of approximately 10:00, finishing no later than 21:00.

?HGV Class 2 Driver will need:

• Experience as a drivercollecting goods? That’s a plus, but not essential.
• You are physically fit and can lift, move, and load barrels without any problem.Hard work and long days don’t scare you!
• A valid driving licence(Category C)– with no more than 3 penalty points.
• You speak goodEnglish.

HGV Class 2 Driver Duties will include:

• Driving company vehicle responsibly and safely, obeying all traffic laws
• Conducting required daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance.
• Maintaining regular contact with Branch Managers on daily progress
• Completing paperwork accurately as instructed
• Dealing with customers face to face in a polite and courteous manner.
