Job summary

Booker is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join our Venus operations. You will plan routes with transport managers, securely load goods, and perform multi-drop deliveries to customers and sites while maintaining accurate records. A strong focus on safety and efficiency is essential.

The role requires a clean C license, Driver CPC, tachograph card, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will also assist with warehouse tasks and stock picking as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid C class driving licence.
• Driver CPC qualification is required.
• Digital tachograph card is required.
• Experience with multiple drop deliveries is essential.
• Role involves heavy lifting and manual handling.
• Ability to work independently for long periods.
• Polite, customer-facing manner required.
• Strong focus on road safety and proper loading/unloading procedures.
• Accurate completion of paperwork and record sheets.
• Reliable and trustworthy individual.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with transport managers to plan delivery schedules and routes.
• Ensure loads are securely fastened for safe transit.
• Monitor traffic and adjust routes to avoid delays.
• Complete delivery paperwork and logbooks as required.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Have good geographic knowledge of the local delivery area.
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries to customers and sites.
• Work in a similar delivery/logistics environment.
• Assist with warehouse tasks and stock picking as needed.
• Deliver goods to customer premises and obtain signatures on delivery.
