HGV Driver - Ashford

First Call Aviation is excited to recruit for a leading provider of catering services for airlines.

As a driver, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of high-quality products from the unit to various airport locations across the UK, including Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, and Manchester.

Pay: £16-£18 per hour

Shifts: 5 on 3 off - 9-hour shifts

Contract: Seasonal

Main Duties of the HGV Driver

1. Driving HGV 15-18 tonne company liveried vehicles in a secure environment
2. Carrying out vehicle checks prior to use
3. Loading and unloading catering supplies to aircraft
4. Liaising with flight crews and collaborating with ground handling teams
5. Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and tidiness
6. Adhering to all Road Traffic Acts and airport by-laws
7. Performing additional duties such as packing or searching and sealing cargo, along with related paperwork

Requirements for the HGV Driver

1. Valid, clean HGV CAT C driving license (up to 3 points considered)
2. Digital tachograph knowledge and card
3. Driver CPC qualification
4. Previous HGV experience desirable; airport airside driving an advantage
5. Knowledge of the Road Traffic Act
