HGV Driver - Ashford

First Call Aviation is excited to recruit for a leading provider of catering services for airlines.

As a driver, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of high-quality products from the unit to various airport units across the UK, including Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, and Manchester.

Pay and Schedule

• Pay: £16-£18 per hour
• Shifts: 5 on 3 off - 9 hour shifts

Main Duties of the HGV Driver

• Driving HGV 15-18 tonne company liveried vehicles in a secure environment
• Carrying out vehicle checks prior to use
• Loading and unloading catering uplifts to aircraft
• Liaising with flight crew and collaborating with ground handling suppliers
• Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and tidiness
• Adhering to Road Traffic Acts and airport by-laws
• Additional duties such as packing or searching and sealing bar and stores, along with related paperwork

Requirements

• Valid, clean HGV CAT C driving license (up to 3 points considered)
• Digital Tachograph knowledge and card
• Driver CPC qualification
• Previous HGV experience preferred; airport airside driving is an advantage
• Knowledge of the Road Traffic Act
