Job summary

Vector Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an HGV Class 2 Driver near Sleaford, Lincolnshire. The role blends driving with drainage maintenance across highways, in a two-person crew, operating vacuum tankers and related equipment.

Typical hours are 6am–4pm or 4pm–2am, 50 hours weekly, with day and night shift pay scales. The position offers training, safety-focused operations, and potential progression to permanent employment.

Qualifications

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to assist with drainage operations.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate specialist HGV Class 2 vehicles, including 18-tonne Vacuum Tankers and Combination Units.
• Work alongside a drainage operative as part of a two-person crew.
• Assist with the clearance, cleaning and maintenance of highway drainage systems.
• Support the safe operation of specialist drainage equipment.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

Salary (days) : £15.81 – £17.80 per hour (PAYE, inclusive of holiday pay)

Salary (nights) : £19.80 - £22.25 per hour (PAYE, inclusive of holiday pay)
